Stone Oak Elementary PTA can always use the help of our community! Please note, that you do not have to volunteer to be a PTA member. For those who have some available time to help volunteer, we will be posting opportunities on our Facebook page. It's a great way to stay involved with the school, and we hope to see you at some of our upcoming events We offer opportunities for adults, and also for kiddos through our Bobcat Helper Program.

How you Can Help
Cómo puedes ayudar
Beautification Volunteer
Help with seasonal enhancements on school grounds. May include planting flowers, laying mulch, cleaning garden
Cafeteria Volunteer
Assist children with lunch related student requests. The smaller children need assistance in opening lunch related items
Creative Design Volunteer
Help with creating design on bulletin boards, birthday boards, etc.
Help with making copies, cutting, pasting/laminating
General Volunteer
Opportunities throughout the year.
Library Volunteer
Assist librarian as needed, help with self-check out station during classroom visits, and assist with shelving books.
Staff Appreciation Volunteer
Help the chairpersons with faculty and staff events, such as meals, monthly celebrations, and teacher appreciation week. This is a great way to get to know the faculty and staff, as well as show your appreciation.
Take it Home Volunteer
Assist with projects at home, cush as cutting, stapling, sorting, assembling, etc.
Watch DOG Volunteer
WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WatchDOG school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well.
5th Grade Year End Party Volunteer
In coordination with 5th Grade teachers, help plan the event. Includes coordinating Gift to School, etc.
Field Day Volunteer
Work a half day shift for Field Day in May. Assist with stations, et up, and tear down.
Book Fair Volunteer
Assist with Pre-Fair promotions, set up, check out, and tear down
APEX Obstacle Course
Assisting with setup, lap tracking, water station during the annual event where students, teachers, and staff come together to raise funds through sponsorship
Concessions Volunteer
Assist with concessions counter at PTA General Membership Meetings
Picture Day Volunteer
Helps the chair facilitate the set up of a school picture day.
